Challenge

Realcast is one of the key products of Realmax's software components. A web based tool to author Augmented reality content. However, the platform was a complete mess of styles and would display around 4 different variations of the logo, and used 8 different fonts. Visual elements and overall page structure did not deliver a strong consistent message, and thus overall impression and use experience were low.

Solution

I started by removing as much clutter and excess elements from the brand as possible. Consolidating all the various versions of the logo into a unified single version, and specifying rules for typography and which typeface to use depending on the user's language preferences. I also introduced a color scheme that would work across the platform. The new color scheme works for color blind as well.

Result

The Realcast brand is now one of the most well known platforms in Mainland China, and can be found listed in top positions on AR related websites such as ARinChina.cn.
